New Zealand publishes 2021 Consumer Information Standard Food Origin Implementation Rules

 
On May 18, 2021, New Zealand released the newly revised "2021 Consumer Information Standards (Food Origin) Implementation Rules", requiring imports and domestic production of fresh or frozen fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and seafood as well as marinated pork must be labeled with the country of origin.

This document will come into effect on November 12, 2021, and will be additionally applicable to frozen food 18 months after its official entry into force.
