South Korea releases heavy metal inspection results of imported infant complementary foods
On May 24, the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) announced that: From 10 February to 30 April, the Ministry of Food and Drug Administration has officially imported and circulated 21 types (50 pieces) of American products in Korea. Heavy metals (lead, cadmium, inorganic arsenic) contained in complementary foods for infants and young children and 144 types (144 pieces) of direct-purchased products abroad were inspected. The results showed that: 1 product directly purchased from abroad had metal lead exceeding the standard, and the product has been banned from entering the country.
