Hong Kong, China, 22 batches, were the most, followed by South Koera and Vietnam, with 19 batches and 18 batches respectively.
The foods refused for entry did not comply with China’s laws and regulations. The main reasons of rejection were
food additive use problems (the most), unqualified labels, failure to provide certificates or certification materials as required, failure to obtain inspection and quarantine access, microbial contamination, etc.
Statistics also show that
Shenzhen Port detected the largest number of unqualified foods, with
25 batches.
In addition, 4 batches of cosmetics were not allowed to enter the country, which all came from
Turkey. The reason for the non-entry are
failure to provide certificates or certification materials as required.
The above-mentio
ned unqualified foods and cosmetics had been returned or destroyed at ports, according to GACC.
