On August 9, 2021, the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) issued Notification Circular 166-21 to solicit comments again on the Proposal P1028 – Infant Formula Consultation Paper 2 - Nutrient Composition.

FSANZ has extended the deadline for written comments on the following Proposal until 6pm (Canberra time) 2 September 2021

General procedure

• Proposal P1028 – Infant Formula Consultation Paper 2 - Nutrient Composition: To revise and clarify standards relating to infant formula products comprising category definitions, composition, labelling and representation of products. Consultation Paper 2 discusses the regulatory options for Standard 2.9.1 and Schedule 29 and will inform the future Call for Submissions (CFS) which will summarise the entirety of considerations and outline the proposed regulatory approach.
