The Netherlands issued a list of requirements for phytosanitary certificates for imports

On 13 April 2022, the Netherlands
bureau of food and consumer product safety (NVWA) issued a list of requirements for phytosanitary certificate for import. The list of requirements shows that each phytosanitary certificate should have the following specific requirements upon import :

(1) Original;  

(2) Using EU official language;  

(3) No modification allowed;  

(4) Complete typesetting;  

(5) Indicate the botanical name of the product; 

(6) Indicate the quantity and type of products; 

(7) The contents of the attachment shall be certified;  

(8) The quantity described is consistent with the reality;  

(9) Correctly describe any required credit entries;  

(10) Have the same text as the Dutch 1/FAO certificate; 

(11) Put forward to the phytosanitary authorities of the European Union;  

(12) If its from the United States, it should be equipped with a "federal certificate" rather than a "state certificate";  

(13) Quarantine must be carried out 14 days before the date of departure from the exporting country.  

The list is accompanied by explanations and instructions for the above requirements.
