On April 6, 2022, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam proposed in a draft for comments on food nutrition labels that food produced by manual methods should be labeled according to regulations starting from January 1, 2025.  The draft stipulates the content of nutrients, including the following seven standards: energy, protein, carbohydrate, total sugar, fat, saturated fat and sodium.  The proposals are based on the 2011 CODEX Implementation Guidelines, which have been fully implemented in 70% of countries and regions.
