U.S. agricultural exports hit a record high in 2021

 On April 14, the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) of USDA released the 2021 Yearbook of U.S. Agricultural Exports.  According to the report, US agricultural exports reached a record $177 billion in 2021, with soybean exports reaching $27.4 billion, a 7% growth year on year, corn exports reaching $18.7 billion, a 103% growth year on year, and beef exports reaching $10.6 billion, a 38% growth year on year.

  

 China remained the largest importer of US agricultural products, importing a record of $33 billion, increased 25% year-on-year.  Among them, corn imports reached $5.1 billion, increased 316% year-on-year, beef imports reached $1.6 billion, increased 413% year-on-year, wheat imports reached $800 million, increased 41% year-on-year, and dairy imports reached $700 million, increased 31% year-on year.  Brazil remained The largest agricultural supplier to China, accounting for 22% , while the United States expanded its market share from 14% in 2020 to 18% in 2021, but it was still lower than its share in 2017.
