On April 28, 2022, the General Administration of Customs took emergency preventive measures against a fishing boat in Estonia and a cold storage in Spain, due to the positive nucleic acid test of SARS-Cov-2 in a sample of the outer packaging of a batch of frozen Greenland plaice imported from Estonia and stored in a cold storage in Spain. The national customs suspended the acceptance of Estonian fishing vessel MFV Lootus OÜ Lennuk EK-1602 (registration number T94) and Spanish cold storage FRIGORIFICOS OYA, SA (registration number 40.09582/PO) import declaration for 1 week. Product declaration will resume automatically after expiration.
