On 6 May 2022, the Austrian Health and Food Safety Authority released its final audit report on high-risk sites for processing food of animal origin. The Authority tested 267 food samples from high-risk sites across Austria and found 11 food samples to be substandard. 6 milk samples out of 167 are unqualified, include reasons for excessive e. coli, unqualified label, etc.; 2 meat samples out of 69 are unqualified due to reasons of high standard of E. coli, shelf life labeling error; 3 fish samples out of 31 were unqualified due to coagulase-positive staphylococcus, listeria, and wrong shelf life claims.
