On 29 April 2022, the European Union (EU) published Regulation (EU) 2020/684, which amended the conditions for the use of galacto-oligosaccharides, a new type of food. The regulation came into force twenty (20) days from the date of publication.

2022年4月29日，欧盟发布条例(EU) 2022/684，修订新型食品低聚半乳糖（Galacto-oligosaccharide）的使用条件，本条例自发布之日起第二十天生效。
