The Food Standards Australia New Zealand(FSANZ) issued notice No. 202-22 on 27 May 2022, including A1248 application to solicit comments on Glucoamylase as a processing aid.

It was informed that the application requested a glucoamylase to be used as a processing aid in the processing of alcoholic beverages and starch.  The glucoamylase comes from a genetically modified aspergillus Niger strain that contains glucoamylase genes from the fungus Gloeophyllum trabeum.  Comments will be sought until 6pm (Canberra time) on 8 July 2022.
