The European Union has removed various Vietnamese noodles from its list of foods that require supplementary food safety certificates

According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, the EU issued a notice on June 13 to amend the "New Regulations on the Emergency Control measures on the imported food in EU ", which will be Vietnam's rice noodles and vermicelli from the need to supplement the list of food safety certificate deletion.  The regulation takes effect on July 3, 2022.

The EU still requires additional food safety certificates for Vietnamese instant noodles that contain condiments and other ingredients.

Side vegetables still take 50% of the border inspection frequency.

For dragon fruit, the EU still maintains the requirement of supplementary food safety certificate, inspection frequency is 20%.

Therefore, from July 3, 2022, various Vietnamese rice noodles exported to the EU do not need to reapply for food safety certificates, and do not need to be inspected at EU border ports.  Instant noodles containing condiments and sauces (HS 1902 30 10 30) still need to apply for the Food Safety certificate of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
