On 22 July 2022, the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) issued through the Government Gazette Regulation No. 623, the draft list of veterinary drugs prohibited in the breeding and production of raw animals for food of animal origin. Specifically including chloramphenicol, nitrofuran, chlorpromazine, metronidazole, quinolones, natural or artificial metabolic hormone, β receptor agonists and other 34 categories of veterinary drugs. The draft comment period ends September 23, 2022.
