According to the Official Journal of the European Union, on 23 August 2022, the European Commission issued Regulation (EU) 2022/1417, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council, Approved Lactobacillus Acidophilus CECT 4529 as a feed additive for all poultry species except laying hens, fattening chickens and ornamental birds.
 
Under the conditions specified in the Annex, this additive is authorized as an animal additive under the category "zootechnical additives" and the functional group "gut flora stabilisers". The license ends on September 12, 2032. These Regulations shall take effect 19 days after the date of promulgation.
