On August 19, 2022, the Philippine Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards issued a draft standard for veterinary drug residue limits in food of animal origin, which mainly includes the formulation of maximum residue limits for 64 veterinary drugs, 4 veterinary drugs exempted from the formulation of maximum residue limits, and 7 types of banned drugs. The draft has a 60-day comment period.
