According to the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU), on June 18, 2024, the Commission issued Regulation (EU) No 2024/1685 authorizing the use of glycosylated 1,25-dihydroxycholecalciferol prepared from the extract of blue leaf tomato as a feed additive for dairy cattle in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

In accordance with the conditions set out in the Annex, this additive is authorized as an animal additive in the category "Nutritional additives" and in the functional group "Vitamins, pro-vitamins and chemically defined substances with similar effects". The authorization expires on July 8, 2034. The Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day after the date of its publication.
