Pesticide residues detected in mandarin imported from Japan

On June 18, 2024, Taiwan's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released a list of unqualified food products at the border, showing that pesticide residues were detected in a batch of Japanese mandarin oranges.

According to the notice, the name of the Japanese manufacturer or exporter is MOMOFUKU SHOJI CO.,LTD., and the importer in Taiwan is Momofuku Tetsuo.

 

It is understood that the batch of tangerine detected residual pesticide Syambo 0.02 ppm. This case does not comply with the provisions of Article 15 of the Food Safety and Hygiene Administration Law on "tolerance standards for pesticide residues".

 

A total of 80.00 kg of unqualified products were returned or destroyed.
