Australia has updated import conditions for risky plant products including frozen fruits and nuts

澳大利亚农业水资源环境部
On 27 May 2022, the Australian Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment updated its import conditions for risk plant products including frozen fruits, nuts, etc. : The update requires that other risk plant products imported by certain means of arrival must now be accompanied by a Phytosanitary Certificate and the following additional declaration:  An examination of representative samples has been done, finding no evidence of any Trogoderma species (live, dead or molting) in Australia's list of Trogoderma species of biosecurity concern.  The new import conditions apply only to other risk plant products exported from all countries on or after 28 April 2022.  Other risk plant products that are not inspected prior to export are more likely to be infected by Trogoderma pests, including Khapra beetles. Biosafety officers may instruct goods to be returned or destroyed if they have reasonable grounds to suspect that the level of biosafety risk associated with a miscertified commodity is unacceptable.  The regulation took effect on May 27.
