Australia revised import conditions for food samples, including shrimp samples

On 23 June 2022, the Australian Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment issued a notice to amend the import conditions of food samples, including shrimp samples.  
   
The main contents include:  To formulate the new standard license requirements, involving food sample types including food sample (not including fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh and half processing plant products, nuts, whole grains, prawns, salmon, raw meat and eggs) and shrimp samples (each batch no more than 10 kg), import condition requires that the good should be directly sent to the 5th category approved sites and internal use.  It is not allowed to directly or indirectly contact the imported products and their derivatives with other animal and plant products.

The requirement takes effect on June 24, 2022.
