According to the Official Journal of the European Union, on 23 August 2022, the European Commission issued Regulation (EU) 2022/1420, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council, L-glutamic acid and monosodium glutamate produced by Corynebacterium glutamicum NITE BP-01681 were approved as feed additives for all animal species.
Under the conditions set out in the Annex, this additive is authorized as an animal additive under the category "nutritional additives" and the functional group "amino acids, their salts and analogues"; The category is "sensory additives" and the functional group is "flavoring compounds". The license ends on September 12, 2032. These Regulations shall take effect on the 19 days after the date of promulgation.
