On August 23, 2024, Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of the Republic of Korea issued a news release stating that it requires mandatory HACCP certification for some imported foods.

The main content is that from October 1, 2024, all overseas manufacturers of cabbage kimchi will need to obtain HACCP certification for imported food in order to be imported for customs clearance. (Kimchi mainly refers to cabbage as the main raw material pickled, various seasonings mixed, fermented or processed.)
