On 9 September 2024, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) issued Notice 306-24, with application No. A1312, for approval of a new genetically modified source of biogenetically modified E. coli BL21 produced 2 '-fucosyl lactose (2'-FL) for use in infant formula products.
