On September 5, 2024, the European Commission published Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2210, amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1550, updating the multi-year control plan for the period 2021-2025, and setting out the Commission's 2025 Control Plan. To verify the implementation of EU agri-food chain legislation. The main contents are:

(1) The annex to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1550 is amended in accordance with the annex to this decision. Amend as follows: the second sentence of paragraph 6 is replaced by the following: "Chapter 11 sets out the control plan for 2025"; In the table "Food Quality" in Chapter 7, delete the second line corresponding to the entry "Geographical indication"; The Chapter 11 "2025 Control Plan" amendments are detailed in the table below.

(2) The implementing Regulation shall enter into force on the 20th day after its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. Points 1 and 3 of the Annex shall apply from 1 January 2025.
