On September 13, 2024, the Singapore Food Authority (SFA) issued a news release stating that it is suspending the importation of poultry and its products from the vicinity of the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) outbreaks in Denmark, France and the United States.

Due to the outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the Borough of Gulborgsund, Denmark, the Department of Finistère, France and the State of Florida in the United States of America, Singapore will be placing temporary restrictions on the importation of poultry and their products within a 10-kilometer radius of the outbreak-affected areas. Poultry products that meet the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) heat-treatment requirements for the inactivation of avian influenza viruses will not be affected by the import restrictions.
