CFSA seeks public opinions on 11 new types of food additives including Transglutaminase

On September 26, 2024, the China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) issued a notice seeking public opinions on 11 new types of food additives, including transglutaminase. The original text is as follows:

 

In accordance with the "Measures for the Administration of New Types of Food Additives" and the "Regulations on the Declaration and Acceptance of New Types of Food Additives," the CFSA has conducted a technical review by the Expert evaluation Committee on the safety and technological necessity of five new types of food additives, including transglutaminase, three new types of food nutrient fortifiers such as 3-fucosyllactose, as well as the applications to expand the usage level of sucralose and acesulfame potassium (also known as Acesulfame K) as food additives, and the usage scope of 2'-fucosyllactose as a food nutrient fortifier (see the attachment for specific details). The CFSA is now openly soliciting public opinions. Please submit your relevant opinions to our center's email (zqyj@cfsa.net.cn) by October 26, 2024. Opinions received after this deadline will be deemed as none.
