On October 16, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of the Republic of Korea issued Notice No. 2024-473, proposing to amend part of the "Rules for the Implementation of Laws related to Health Functional Foods", the main contents of which are as follows:

1. Set new facility standards for the sales of customized health functional food.

2. Specify compliance requirements for operators of the sales of customized health functional food.

3. Set new safety management and sales standards for packaging and combination.

4. Specify the compliance of customized health functional food managers.

5. Set new training requirements for sellers of customized health functional food.
