U.S. approves importation of fresh guanabana from Mexico

According to the Federal Register, on October 29, 2024, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) issued 2024-25085, authorizing the importation of fresh prickly fruit lychees from Mexico.

  

based on a pest risk analysis, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has determined that the application of one or more phytosanitary measures is sufficient to mitigate the risk of the introduction or spread of plant pests or noxious weeds associated with the importation of fresh prickly fruits of senna lychee from Mexico. Therefore, as of October 29, 2024 Mexican fresh prickly fruit senna lychees are authorized for export to the United States.
