On October 28, 2024, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a risk assessment report on the application for authorization for food, feed, import and processing of the genetically modified insect-resistant and herbicide-tolerant soybean MON 87705 × MON 87708 × MON 89788. Ultimately, the EFSA GMO Panel concluded that the GM soybean does not raise food/feed safety and nutritional concerns and is as safe as its conventional counterpart in terms of potential impacts on human and animal health and the environment.
