Lead-contaminated cinnamon powder recalled in US

According to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), on 18 November 2024, the FDA issued a recall notice stating that IHA Beverage is recalling a batch of cinnamon powder because the product may be contaminated with high levels of lead.

The recalled product weighs 113g and has a UPC of 610232012476.The product was distributed primarily through retail shops in California and several shops throughout the United States. The product was not sold online.

  

There have been no reports of illnesses associated with the recalled lot code product and sales of the product have been suspended. The FDA is advising consumers who have purchased the products affected by the recall not to consume them and to return them for a full refund.
