Kenyan media reported on 19 November that the value of coffee sold at auction at the Nairobi Coffee Exchange (NCE) for the 2024-25 marketing season increased by 93.4 per cent to $22.8 million, with sales increasing by 41.7 per cent to 4,388.2 tonnes. According to data from the Kenyan Agriculture and Food Authority, about 78 per cent of the country's coffee is sold at auction, with the rest sold directly to buyers by farmers through marketing agents.
