Containing undeclared allergens, U.S. recalls a potato chip

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), on December 18, 2024, the U.S. FDA issued a recall notice stating that Frito-Lay is recalling a potato chip because the product contains an undeclared allergen (milk). The recalled product is pictured below:

The name of the recalled product, Lay's Classic Potato Chips, weighs 13 ounces, has a UPC code of 28400 31041, and has a shelf life until February 11, 2025. The recalled products were distributed to certain retail stores and e-commerce distributors in Oregon and Washington.

  

There have been no reports of illness from consumption of these products. The FDA advises consumers with milk allergies not to consume these products and to return them to the store of purchase for a full refund.
