On January 7, 2025, the China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) publicly solicited opinions on four new food relative materials, including talcum powder. The original text of the announcement is as follows:
According to the Requirements for Administration of Administrative License for New Food Retative Materials and the Requirements for Declaration and Acceptance of New Food Relative Materials, four new food-related product varieties, including talcum powder, have passed the technical evaluation by the Expert evaluation Committee (see the Annex for details). It is now open for comments, please feedback the written comments to our center before Feb. 6, 2025, if the relevant comments are not fed back before the deadline, it is regarded that there are no different opinions.
