The UK has issued regulations on the labelling of alcoholic drinks

On 2 November 2022, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs published a consultation paper on the labelling of alcoholic drinks until 23 November 2022. The main contents are:


(1) Allowed wine products to display alcohol concentration to one decimal place.


(2) When several grape varieties are used in the production of a blended wine and displayed on the label, the named variety must account for at least 95% of the volume of the wine.

(3) The alcohol content number on the label of any alcoholic beverage can be followed by the unit of "% alc/vol" to indicate the alcohol concentration.
