Federal Register, November 10, 2022- The Agricultural Products Marketing Service (AMS) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued Notice 2022-24111, revising the list of substances permitted or added to organic products to approve low-acyl gellan gum as an additive to organic foods. Main use is thickening agent, gelling agent or stabilizer, maximum dosage is 5%, by weight or liquid volume (excluding water and salt). The notice will be published in the Federal Register on November 11, 2022 and take effect 30 days later.
