On November 25, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of Korea (MFDS) issued the implementation rules of the "imported food Safety Management Special Law" partial revision, the main content is as follows:

Attach photos to the import declaration form for imported food, etc., to improve the efficiency of document inspection; Before the revision of the regulations, aquatic products subject to precision inspection will not be inspected again in 5 years if the producing country, category name and exporting enterprise are the same. After the revision of the regulations, a condition of "same overseas production enterprise" will be added to enhance the safety of aquatic products. If a seller of imported food plans to operate through e-commerce or online sales, it will be allowed to use a residential building as an office. New administrative punishment standards for false declaration or providing false documents in the process of agent import declaration were added.
