According to the CPV News, as of November this year, Vietnam's pangasius exports to China and Hong Kong, China, totaled approximately US$675 million, a year-on-year increase of 79%. So far, 160 Vietnamese companies have been approved to export pangasius to China.

According to theVietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), after a sharp increase in the first 10 months of this year, Vietnam's exports to China suddenly fell in November, falling by 46% to only US$37 million. Despite the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, China is still a potential market for many export companies in Vietnam.

Statistics show that as of November, Vietnam's total exports to China reached US$636 million, an increase of 81% year-on-year, while exports to Hong Kong, China, totaled approximately US$38 million, an increase of 46% year-on-year.

Vietnam's HS 0304-coded frozen fish fillets exports to China totaled US$472 million, accounting for 74% of total exports to China.

The evolution of the Chinese market is difficult to predict in the future, and largely depends on whether China adjusts its "zero new crown virus" policy. However, many aquatic operators in the world, including Vietnamese companies, hope that this market will remain stable as it is still a huge market with high consumer demand.
