On December 27, 2022, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) reported that the transition period of the technical regulations on "Safety Requirements for Packaged Drinking Water, Including Natural Mineral Water" is coming to an end and will come into force on January 1, 2023. The main contents are as follows:
(1) The upper limit of boron content in natural mineral water must fully meet the following requirements: medical drinking water 35.0–100.0 mg/dm3, medical mineral water > 100.0 mg/dm3 (both in terms of orthoboric acid);
(2) Mineral water and mixed drinking water made of natural mineral water at 22°C, the total number of microbial indicator colonies is limited to ≤100CFU/cm3;
(3) Treated drinking water, natural drinking water, mixed drinking water and artificial mineralization Routine microbial indicators in drinking water and baby food formula milk powder drinking water are <100CFU/cm3; (4) safety indicators, such as "cryptosporidium oocysts", "giardia oocysts" and "worm eggs" For: not detected/50dm3.
