According to the "Government News Network" report, according to the Dong Dang-Lang Son Port Economic Zone Management Committee, on the first day of implementing the customs clearance procedures in advance, the functional department of the Lang Son Provincial Port has handled export procedures for 3,000 tons of agricultural products exported to China.

In the past, China's epidemic prevention and "zero transmission policy" had a great impact on Vietnam's agricultural products, fruit and vegetable production and operation activities.

In 2022, except for the Chinese market, most export markets of Vietnamese fruits and vegetables increased. The reason is that China's zero-spread policy has resulted in reduced market demand.

However, in December 2022, China relaxed the control of the epidemic, so the economy has improved. In December 2022, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports to the Chinese market reached US$159.4 million, a year-on-year increase of 6.6%.

It is worth noting that in December, Vietnamese durian, dragon fruit, and bananas were exported to the Chinese market. For the first time, Vietnamese banana exports to China surpassed that of the Philippines.

Recently, the two sides signed the "Protocol on Phytosanitary Requirements for Exporting Vietnamese Sweet Potatoes to China". This will open up opportunities for exporting Vietnamese sweet potatoes to the Chinese market.

From January 8, 2023, after China has reopened its borders after long-term epidemic prevention and control measures, truck drivers can directly drive across the country and deliver goods to Chinese terminals after completing the formalities.

According to the notice, at the Friendship Pass, Xinqing, and Gunan ports, China will implement customs clearance procedures in advance from January 24 to 27, and will resume normal customs clearance on January 28.
