On January 30, 2023, the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) issued No. P1061 to propose revisions to the ANZ food standards. The feedback period ends on March 3, 2023.
Main contents:
(1) Correct typographical errors, omissions, and inconsistent formats; update reference materials;
(2) From August 13, 2023, folic acid is required to be added to all wheat flour used for bread making sold in New Zealand; the addition of thiamine to bread flour is only applicable to Australia.
