The Italian Health Ministry issued a series of emergency recalls of Rossato sas and Brunello brand beef and horse meat products.
The Italian health Ministry said yesterday it was recalling some Rossato sas and Brunello brands of beef and horse meat produced by Coppiello Giovanni in Padua province as a precaution against the risk of listeria infection, Leggo.com reported. Specific recall information is as follows:
-Rossato sas Shredded Beef (Sfilaccio di manzo), 100g pack, Shelf life 18 June 2023-6 August 2023, batch: 2301088, 2301131, 2301136, 2301137, 2301138, 2301145, 2301147, 2301150, 2301151, 2301165, 2302031, 2302032, 2303024, 23303030;
-Brunello brand Horsemeat Shreds (Sfilaccio di equino), 100g pack, shelf life between June 2, 2023 and August 13, 2023, all batches within the shelf life are recalled;
-Brunello Brand Sfilaccio di equino top selection, 100g pack, shelf life between June 2, 2023 and August 13, 2023, all batches within the shelf life are recalled;
-Rossato sas brand Shredded Horse Meat (Sfilaccio di equino), 100g pack, shelf life ends June 2, 2023 - August 13, 2023, all batches within the shelf life are recalled.
The Italian Health Ministry advised consumers who have bought the products not to eat them and to return them to the point of sale.
