March 29, 2023, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan (MHLW) issued the raw food issue 0329 No. 2 announcement, revision and formulation of a number of food testing method standards. Specific contents are as follows:
(1) To formulate the test method standard of cyflumetofen in livestock products (except honey), specifically LC-MS/MS, the detection limit is 0.005 mg/kg;
(2) To establish the standard for the detection of tylosin in livestock products, specifically LC-MS/MS, the detection limit is 0.005 mg/kg;
(3) To establish the standard of detection method of flavomycin in livestock products, specifically LC-MS/MS, detection limit is 0.01 mg/kg;
(4) To establish the standard for the detection of lasalocid in livestock products, specifically LC-MS/MS, the detection limit is 0.01 mg/kg;
(5) To formulate the standard for the detection of oxolinic acid in cereals, vegetables, tea and other foods, specifically LC-MS/MS, the detection limit is 0.04 mg/kg for tea samples and 0.01mg/kg for other foods;
(6) Revise the detection methods of flutolanil in livestock products and other two standards, mainly involving updating reagents and other contents.
The announcement shall take effect as of the date of promulgation.
