SPUTNIK, Moscow, April 11th--The Press Office of the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision stated that Tomsk and Novosibirsk began to export peas to China.
At the end of March 2023, Tomsk Oblast exported peas to China for the first time, with a total weight of 119,880 tons.
In early 2023, the Novosibirsk region will export 16,500 tons of pea crops to China.
In February 2023, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision stated that the total weight of the first batch of peas exported from Russia to China was 2,000 tons.
The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision previously stated that on October 10, 2022, it signed a protocol with China on inspection and quarantine requirements for the export of Russian peas to China. This document makes it possible to export peas to China. Up to now, a total of 279 pea producers and warehouses in Russia have the right to export to China.
