South Korea recalled health functional food (vitamin B1) made in Japan containing prohibited ingredients

On June 2, the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) announced that a South Korean company imported from Japan (OKINAWA UKonDO CO.,LTD/OKINAWA CHOUSEI HERB CORP) two health functional foods (vitamin B1) that used prohibited Pueraria mirifica (scientific name: Pueraria mirifica), the raw material used in food, was ordered to stop sales and recall the product.


Objects of the recall: products with expiration dates marked on May 24, 2023 and August 25, 2025.
