According to a report by the VNA correspondent in the UK, the seedless lychees were grown by Ho Guom-Song Am Hi-Tech Agricultural Company in Ngoc Lac County, Thanh Hoa Province, and imported to the UK by TT Meridian Company. It is reported that TT Meridian is a company specializing in the sale of lychees and other Vietnamese agricultural products in the UK.

Thai Chen, CEO of TT Meridian, said that although the retail price of seedless lychees is about 16-18 pounds per kilogram (about 480,000-540,000 VND), it is 3-4 times higher than ordinary lychees. This fruit has a strong lychee aroma, crisp flesh, sweet taste, and is seedless. It is very popular among British and European consumers.

Thai Chen revealed that if the British market accepts the quality and price of Vietnamese seedless lychees, TT Meridian will import about 1 ton per week in June and July, the peak harvest season of Vietnamese lychees.

The CEO of TT Meridian added that for fresh tropical fruit products imported from Vietnam, the company is using a just-in-time process (that is, buying and producing according to consumer demand) to ensure that the fruit It is still fresh in the hands of consumers. According to this process, the whole process of exporting from Vietnam to UK shelf sales takes less than 36 hours.

This batch of seedless lychees was harvested in Ngoc Le County, Thanh Hoa Province on June 14, and packed that night. After completing the quarantine procedures at Noi Bai Airport, the products were carried by Vietnam Airlines on the afternoon of June 15th, and arrived in London on the afternoon of June 15th local time. They cleared customs and arrived at the warehouse of TT Meridian in the morning of June 16th.

According to the information on the portal website of Thanh Hoa Province, Ngoc Le seedless lychees are produced according to VietGAP and GlobalGAP processes, have passed organic certification, and are eligible for export to Japan, Canada and Europe. The seeds are imported from Japan.
