On July 3, 2023, the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) announced a list of ingredients that are prohibited from being added to foods directly purchased from overseas (that is, foods imported from cross-border e-commerce).

The list contains a total of 282 substances, including 9 drug ingredients such as amphetamine, 139 drug ingredients such as sildenafil citrate, and 134 non-edible additives such as glipizide. The South Korean competent authority will intensify the inspection of the above items in overseas direct purchase of food.
