On September 15, the General Administration of Customs issued Notice No. 115 of 2023, announcing that from now on, Venezuelan coffee beans that meet the relevant requirements will be allowed to import. Venezuelan coffee beans refer to unroasted shelled coffee seeds grown and processed in Venezuela, which have been removed from the outer skin, pulp, inner peel and silver skin, and made by drying, screening and other processes.

The Ministry of Agricultural Production and Land of the People's Power of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela (hereinafter referred to as the Venezuelan side) shall inspect the unroasted coffee bean processing enterprises, confirm that they meet the requirements of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the Chinese side), and recommend them to the Chinese side. The Chinese side will conduct an audit and implement registration after approval.

At the same time, the announcement also details the relevant requirements for imports, including production requirements, packaging requirements, and phytosanitary certificate requirements.
