On September 20, 2023, the Ministry of Food and Drug of Korea (MFDS) reported that South Korea further strengthened radioactive safety management measures for aquatic products, including:

(1) Conduct training on radioactive detection and analysis to improve detection capabilities and reliability;

(2) In addition to official testing institutions, invite civil radioactivity testing institutions to participate in the radioactivity testing of aquatic products;

(3) Strengthen the radioactive safety management system of aquatic products and create a safe consumption environment for aquatic products.
