South Korea issued a partial amendment to the Low Salt and Low Sugar Labeling Standards

On October 5, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued Notice No. 2023-65, revising part of the "Low Salt and Low Sugar Labeling Standard", which mainly reads as follows:

 

Expand the range of products with low salt and low sugar labels to expand consumers' choice of related products: add nori rice, rice balls, frozen rice and dumplings to the list of objects with low salt labels; add processed milk (similar to China's mixed milk), fermented milk, concentrated fermented milk to the list of objects with low sugar labels.
