Currently, coffee products produced by Nestlé's security factories in Vietnam are exported to more than 29 countries around the world. In addition, Nestlé is also the largest coffee buyer, with the total cost of purchasing coffee from Vietnam reaching US$700 million annually.
On 9 January, Mr Binu Jacob, General Director of Nestlé Vietnam, said that Nestlé Vietnam has decided to invest an additional US$100 million in order to double the processing capacity of the high-quality coffee production line at Nestlé's Tri An factory in Dong Nai province, bringing the total investment in Nestlé's Tri An factory to more than US$500 million.
The additional investment in the Nestlé Tri An plant will help increase production capacity and power to meet the growing demand for coffee and continue to make Vietnam a centre for coffee production and supply of high-value coffee products to the domestic and world markets.

Sharing about this investment project, Mr Binu Jacob said, "This project is a testament to Nestle's long-term commitment to invest in Vietnam. The project is expected to double the plant's production capacity when it comes on stream, meeting consumer demand in the domestic market and effectively tapping into export potential, making Vietnam a centre for supplying high-value coffee products to the world. At the same time, we also hope to create a large number of jobs through this project and continue to expand our long-term investment activities in Vietnam, contributing to the country's sustainable economic development and prosperity."
To date, the Nestlé Group has invested nearly US$830 million through Nestlé Vietnam, which has four factories and two distribution centres. In Vietnam's Dong Nai province alone, the company operates three factories. Among them, the Nestlé Policing Factory is one of Nestlé's largest coffee processing plants in Vietnam.
