Canada reevaluated natamycin and its end-use products

On March 6, 2024, Health Canada issued Consultation document PRVD2024-02, in which the Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) reevaluates Natamycin and its end-use products.

 

Natamycin is a naturally occurring antifungal substance registered to suppress dry blistering disease in mushroom production facilities. It is also registered as a preservative for analyzing milk samples used in testing laboratories.

 

The public comment period for this registration is from March 6, 2024 to June 4, 2024.
